Alan Macalister

Alan was first introduced to Buddha Dharma on retreat at Wangapeka with Tarchin Hearn in 1997. His principal teacher for many years has been Lama Yongdu Chokyi Gyaltsen (Lama Mark Webber). In 1998, he established the Queenstown Dharma Centre and invited Jangchub Sempa Gyatso (Jangchub Reid) to reside there and teach. With his dharma companion, Annette, and Fortitur Trust, Alan established the Rainbow Mountain Retreat in 2012. He is a resident teacher at the Centre. He acknowledges his teachers with deep gratitude and profound respect.
