*heart teachings of a modern buddhadharma* with Tarchin Hearn
Tarchin Hearn will be returning to Queenstown for a week of contemplative teaching and meditative exploration. There will be three different studies.

Six Contemplative Themes to Deepen Our Reverence For Life. Drawing on biology, ecology and holistic neuroscience, these could be thought of as modern equivalents of the Tibetan preliminary teachings on the “Four Thoughts to Turn the Mind Towards Dharma”. These classes will be appropriate for people from any spiritual background or tradition.
Although Tarchin urges people to attend all six sessions, each one will stand somewhat on it’s own, so please feel free to attend what you can. For a brief summary of these contemplations check out Six-Contemplations
• Friday evening the 14th at 7:30pm
Poetry for Awakening
Tarchin will read some of his poetry along with a bit of commentary.
• Saturday and Sunday mornings: 9:30am
A Mahamudra/Dzogchen approach to the meditation of Vajrasattva.
Tarchin will outline a fresh approach to the inner essence of the hundred syllable mantra of Vajrasattva. These two classes are primarily for people who are already engaged with Mahamudra, Dzogchen or Vajrasattva contemplations.
Tarchin Hearn has studied and practiced in various schools of Buddhism for more than 40 years and has taught extensively in many countries. With such a wealth of life experience he is regarded as an elder in the tradition of innovative Buddhadharma. Tarchin lives in New Zealand with his partner Mary Jenkins.
